I don't bite... much
Depending on the kindness of not-quite-strangers
So, we (tabbifli, myself and Alex) are having our basement recarpeted.

This of course means that we need to get all of our furniture moved out from our basement, get all our old carpet ripped up, and then we want (well need really) to paint/seal the floor with a specific type of paint that will pretty much guarantee to keep mold/mildew/etc out.

Most of this can be done ourselves, with the exception of moving all of the big furniture, and that’s where (hopefully) you all come in.

This Monday, that being Labor Day, we would like anyone who is willing to come help us move stuff to show up here at 11 AM and help. We’ll provide lunch (in the form of pizza) and drinks. We’ll get stuff moved and (if possible) even start on the carpet rip-up and removal. With a bit of help I think we can get this done in order to have the carpet installers come in sometime around the 15th or the 17th (We need to get the furniture moved out this weekend so we have time to paint/seal the floor and let it dry).

So, if you’re willing to help, please reply and let us know you’ll be here! Please only let us know if you are sure you’ll be able to make it so that we can figure out if we’ll have sufficient manpower to get it done. More showing up isn’t so much a problem and will help us get done faster, but if we don’t have sufficient people confirm we’ll probably put this off until after Melissa and my and Alex’s trip to Phoenix at the end of the month to visit her mother.

If you cannot make it, that’s fine, but if you can that’ll be muchly appreciated by all of us.

If you need direction to our place, let me know in the comments and I will provide them to you, but I’d rather not post them publically (this post is not friends locked).

Willing, I am. The logistics is a bit difficult to manage, though. I'm afraid I have to sit this one out.

Don't drop any heavy things on persons!

Unless they want it, of course.

Is the "they" referring to the dropper or the droppee?
And is "droppee" the person that is the target of dropping, or the person being dropped, and if so, what would the former be?

Oh all right.

There. I've confirmed.

Not a stranger, but definitely strange

If the Bear and I aren't wrapped up in home-improvement projects of our own, we'll show up. We might be building and arranging shelves, though.

I'd be willing to help, but I was planning to work on work-code over Labor Day to see if I could get anything productive done. How many hours are we thinking this would be?

Re: Lifting stuff...

I'm sure I can make it but I need to know times. I still want to have lunch with Cindy but I'm sure that we can work around that...

Re: Lifting stuff...

As I said above, we'll be having people over any time after 11 (well I said 11 above, but if you cannot make it for the entire time, just be here whenever and it'll be good).

And sure we can work around lunch with Cindy.. If you show up later (like 1 or 1:30) that'll be fine!

Re: Lifting stuff...

Okay. Considering that Cindy's lunch is at 11.30, I'd probably be there between 12.15 and 12.30.
