Star Trek Personality Test -- Results

Myers-Briggs would say that you are an ENFJ (Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeler, Judger). In Star Trek language, you share a basic personality configuration with Deanna Troi and Jake Sisko.

People like you are generally highly empathic and easily hurt, particularly when people are disrespectful of your opinions. Your best friends are curious about how you feel and what you think. You have a well-structured personal philosophy and enjoy sharing your views and learning from others'. You're creative and original, and when you have your facts straight you can come easily and quickly to a decision.

You're friendly and affectionate, articulate and and outgoing. You're very tactful, which is good, as you like to ask personal questions.

You're organized and responsive. As long as your social needs are met, you're productive. You dislike messy environments and generally like to keep things in order. You cannot stand unresolved issues in a relationship.

Your primary goal in life is harmonious relationships with others. Your reward is truly communicating your ideas and seeing your relationships last.

Good careers for your type include being a therapist, magazine editor, corporate trainer, fund raiser, TV producer, holistic health practitioner, marketing executive, and writer.

It is fairly accurate except for a couple of bits, namely the bits about being tactful (I try, but don't always succeed), organized (hah!) and disliking messy environments (have you seen my computer desk recently? I haven't it's buried under layers of stuff :))

I also don't think that the 'good careers' would work for me, but hey I'm happy being the oddly extrovert geek :)

Okay this makes sense for when I am feeling more extroverted (though I am pretty sure Sar wouldn't agree about the neat part.

disappointing

If it were really a Star Trek personality test you'd think they'd include Star Trek like jobs in the 'good careers' list.

Sloppy lemming - no biscuit.

Re: disappointing

Actually, some of them do.. One of the ones that a friend got was he was similar to Worf and one of the jobs was 'Ambassador to Q'on'os' or something like that :)

And I think ship's counsellor was on mine, which was the Deanna Troi thingie.

I'm not seeing ships counselor but I'll take your word for it on other profiles... *smile*

Re: disappointing

Ehh. My brain was running 'therepist' and 'holistic health practitioner' together and getting 'ships counselor'.. However, if you go read elfric's entry you'll see the one about Worf and the Ambassador. Others have said ship's captain and stuff like that :)

Re: disappointing

Well, mine was ISFP (Introvert, Sensor, Feeler, Perceiver) - spot-on, by the way - and used Bareil and The Doctor as Star Trek examples. Primary care physician was one of the jobs listed. :-)

I also ended up as EIFJ. The problem with this test was there wasn't enough questions. I ended up with 3 scores of 10 and one 11.

Prior to getting married Kat and Myself both took the real test and there were many more questions and I only had one which was close to the middle. I just wish I could recall what I go when I took that one, but I don't think it was EIFJ.

ENFJ not EIFJ.

I've taken the full MBTI in the past, and usually end up as ENXX.

I agree that there weren't sufficient questions, but it's a quiz-lemming, not a serious psych profile so I didn't worry too much on that score :)
