Latin Language Lunacy
So, I was wandering around on the net taking a mild break from my code as I was trying to puzzle through something and ended up searching for HTML screen-scrapers to see if I could make use of LJ's syndication features in order to get all of my web-comics in my LJ and thus cut down on the number of sites I'm reading daily and what not.

So, one google search led to a web log which had an entry which led me here

I'm really amused by this.. But then, I'm a language geek in general. The retranslations back into english amuse me too. Just had to share.

Cool!

I got some latin in Junior High, but not much. The back-translations are really amusing.

Re: Cool!

I could get that much. Just couldn't translate it well, especially if I didn't know the song. May have been a prodigy back then, but I'm slipping to average these days. ;)

See ya!

You're right - that is WAY geeky ;-)

But then, I do own a copy of Ferdinandus Taurus... and, yes, I have read it. :-(

Let me know how the syndication efforts go.. I think that sounds like a really good idea. i have a terrible time keeping up with my comics. :/

Re: Latin Language Lunacy

On the other side of language, there is How to swear in Latin.
