I blame cadhla for Oh, Michelle. Then, hsifyppah defended vixyish with Damnit, Seanan. Of course, cadhla couldn't let that lie and fired back with Oh, Brooke. hsifyppah, being herself, had the response Oh, Seanan M... Then came libraryraven with Clever Brooke. Someone else, scifantasy, chimed in with Listen Girls aka War Correspondance. Well, all of those had me rolling on the floor as I read them (and not so coincidentally scaring the hell out of my cats). They insisted on having their say.

What:  Seattle Area House Filk!
Where: JT's house in Lynnwood/Everett
When:  Saturday, July 21, 1PM until we stop (need to be quieter after about 9PM)
Why: to sing and filk of course!

I will have some beverages on hand, and will probably do the 'order some pizza' deal for dinner.  If people wish to bring food and or beverages that is fine.   Please if you do bring foods, make sure they are labelled to help people who have allergies avoid things that are bad for them.

As of now there are no pets in the house.  However, I am anticipating that changing, though I don't know if it will have changed before the house filk.  If it does change, there will be 2 cats in the house.

Please RSVP to me via email at jtraub at dragoncat dot net in order to let me know you are planning on showing up, and so I can give you directions.  I now live in Lynnwood/Everett so if you had previous directions from me they won't work!  Also, Google and the other map companies don't have my new location in their map database yet, so you cannot find me via them!  You MUST RSVP to get directions.

 Please do bring extra seating if you have it.  I have some seating, but more would be helpful.

The housefilk at my place on February 18th is only two weeks away.

If you have not yet RSVP’d to let me know you’ll be there, please do so now so I have a count for food. As of now, I have about 12 people who have said they will make it.

Directions to my house are available via email.

The housefilk will run from 1 PM until ~9 PM at night (one of my housemates is a morning bird rather than a night owl). We do have 4 cats who live in the house, and while I’ll endeavour to keep them out of the active filking space, if anyone is allergic they should be aware.

Please do not bring food items since one of the people in the house is *severely* allergic to nut oils and other substances. Food and drink will be provided, so if there are any dietary restrictions or drink preferences among those attending, please let me know when you RSVP.

If you will need crash space and have not made arrangements with runnerwolf then please let me know and she will contact you for making arrangements.

Unfortunately, I have been called out of town on the 22nd through 25th of February.

At this point, I have two options.

1) I can move the housefilk to be one-week earlier, on Feb 18th.

2) Beth has volunteered to host the filk on the original day, but then I wouldn't be able to attend.

Obviously, I'd like to move it to the 18th, so I'd like to know from people if that would work alright for them?

Currently I have a small but signifigant number of people confirmed as attending. If moving this would cause you to be unable to attend, please let me know.

If you could make it on the 18th but weren't able to on the 25th, also please let me know so I can decide exactly what the best course to take here is.

I will be hosting a house-filk at my house in Kirkland, WA on February 25th.

The house-filk will run from 1 PM until ~9PM (due to one of the members of the household being a morning bird rather than a night owl and wanting to get to sleep early :))

The house is occupied by 4 cats in addition to the humans, but we do our best to keep the allergens down.

runnerwolf, who hosted December’s house-filk, has graciously offered to provide sleeping accomodations for those who need crash space. Her house is a cat-free area. Unfortunately, I’m not able to provide crash-space at my place currently.

Please let me know if you plan on attending so that I can make sure I know how many people are going to show up and so that I can provide directions to my house. If you will need crash space, please mention that as well so that I can make sure runnerwolf knows and so that she can arrange specifics with you.

Knowing in advance will also allow me to set up lunch and dinner and anything else necessary. This will not be a pot-luck as one of the people in the house has a severe nut allergy, and even things with a minor amount of nuts can release oils into the air which will cause problems.
